Children from primary schools across West Berkshire have been reaping what they sowed today.

This afternoon saw the grand finale of Grow Your Own Potatoes, being run by the Potato Council, up at Newbury Showground.

Scores of kids from schools including Cold Ash St Marks, Hermitage and Inkpen Primaries planted potato seeds back in March and today found how many they had managed to grow.

Six year olds, Ben, Jack and Cosmo from Basildon Primary School told us what they had learnt through the experience. Click on the play icon to the right to listen to what they had to say.
