There could be traffic turmoil in Newbury next month when work to replace gas mains along the A339 starts.

It'll mean one lane will be closed between the Burger King and Sainsbury's roundabouts for around six weeks from the first of April.

Southern Gas Network say replacing the old cast iron mains with a more modern material should mean they don't have to do the work again for another 80 years.
