Newbury Blues were coming off the back of a rest week and should have been fresh and ready to go in their game away to Redruth.
In their last two games Newbury had managed to keep clean sheets, but this week was a much different prospect. Redruth have been consistent all season and manage to gain plenty of bonus points. Newbury never really got going in the match and the support that the home team received was like an extra man. All Newbury could manage in the game was a solitary penalty. Redruth had more creativity and managed to carve open the Newbury defence on a number of occassions. Redruth eventually won 29-3.
