The Newbury Sound team took part in the annual Pancake Race in the Market Place in Newbury along with other businesses and teams from across the town. The race began at 12noon and then 3 awards were given out:
- Pancake Race Champions 2010 - Newbury Weekly News
- Best Dressed Team 2010 - The Teletubbies (see below!)
- Pancake Tosser of the Year 2010 - Richard Jennings from the British Association of Clubs for Young People.
After the race, the tradition of climbing to the top of St Nicolas Church Tower and throwing pancakes off the top to people waiting below. This was then followed by a lunch at St Nicolas Church Hall.
All money raised from today's event will go towards Stroke Care for Newbury and West Berkshire. The event was organised by Soroptimist International Newbury and Districts.

Fancy dress was a part of the race, here's Richard Jennings dressed as Mario. He won Pancake Tosser of the Year.

Finally after all the racing and throwing, a lunch was served at St Nicolas Church Hall. All money raised goes to Stroke Care Newbury and Berkshire.
