Today's your last chance to nominate your business for the third annual Enterprise Awards.

The gong, handed out by West Berkshire Council, recognises small or medium sized companies here who go the extra mile.

Last year's winners were Newbury Racecourse after judges praised the support they give to the local community.

Harriet Rochester explains how they did it: "Well last year we launched something called the 25 Mile Menu, which featured in our Hennessey Restaurant.

"The main story about that that was that all the ingredients were sourced within 25 miles of the Racecourse. We really wanted to support the local farmers and the local suppliers.

"Some of the dishes so still feature a year on. And wherever possible we do try and work with all the local businesses and local suppliers.

"On a big race day we can go up to 500 staff members and we work very hard to employ them from the local community".

All nomination forms for the 2010 Enterprise Awards must be received by 5pm on Friday 30th July.
