Five friends have just completed a 100 mile walk in memory of a school mate who died last year.
Charlie Lamb was killed in a car accident near Hungerford in September.
Matt Gibbs, Jack Matthews, Adam Wise, James Keen and David Osborne are all back home after their gruelling week-long walk - that saw them camping in all weathers to raise more than a thousand pounds for three charities, including one set up in Charlie's name.
Matt explains what they went through:
"We woke up on the first morning in blizzard conditions, with a couple of inches of snow on the ground all around the tent.
"At that point we had parents trying to convince us to go home. We were in ridiculously strong winds, struggling to stand up at times it was so strong.
"So it helped really that we went through the seasons, we can say we went through every kind of weather there is, for these charities and it kind of adds to the story really". |
