When it comes to fish, there is none fresher than the selection for sale from fishmonger, Rose. The delivery comes daily from Looe in Cornwall with mussels and salmon from Scotland and crevettes from France, and everything is from sustainable sources. Nothing has been out of the sea for longer than 24 hours, which is why with no fishing on a Sunday the fishmonger is closed on Mondays.

Rose was taught by a master fishmonger, who ran his business in Kintbury for 40 years. She can advise you on everything from recipe ideas, to describing the taste of a type of fish. She even stocks some delightful, locally produced sauces to accompany her fish!
