We can expect to see more anti-social behaviour blighting communities in West Berkshire when the weather improves and it gets lighter in the evenings.
The warning comes from local police who are promising not to let culprits of disruptive behaviour get away with it.
They want to send out a strong message following a recent bin fire on Dunstan Green in Thatcham, where a packet of firelighters allegedly found nearby were sent off for fingerprinting.
PC Michelle Norman from Thatcham Police Station said: "People don't realise the consequences sometimes of what they do.
"A bin fire, it's just a bin to some people, but to the council it's several hundred pounds worth of money that they've got to use now to replace the bin, as well as the serious consequences which could be behind lighting any fire.
"We do take all cases seriously that get reported to us and we do investigate everything that comes our way." |
